The Knowledge Foundation was established in 2011 as a nonprofit welfare organization with the objective of contributing towards spread of education at all levels thus enabling those members of the society who would otherwise remain deprived of education as a means of personal development and thus lose an opportunity to potentially achieve a better standard of living.

The founding members of the foundation are motivated by the desire to help the society which has contributed towards their own successful lives in the spirit of social justice. For this purpose education is selected as a target sector because of its potential to drastically change the society for the better.

The foundation strives to achieve its aim through financial support, career counseling, guidance for placement and empowerment of the poor to achieve their educational aims.

The Memorandum of Association of The Knowledge Foundation is registered by the Registrar of joint stock companies Lahore Pakistan.

The Knowledge Foundation aims to promote knowledge in all its forms through the establishment of efficient and impactful social enterprises, in which impact is measured as the difference they make in the lives of their beneficiaries, especially in their income generation capabilities and personal development, to become useful members of the society at minimum cost to the Foundation
